What a beautiful way to kick off 2026! We are grateful to begin the year by establishing a meaningful partnership with the Department of Human Services in support of caregivers. CTAM looks forward to growing a strong, reciprocal relationship that continues to uplift and support those who sacrifice so much every day.

Tina Bullock, Unit Manager for Project Home and Respite Care at the Department of Human Services, invited Ms. Shirl to share with caregivers attending this event. CTAM was honored to present her with a token of appreciation—a cozy AARP throw and a delicious bag of popcorn—to thank her for her dedication and partnership.

Speaking from the heart is what Shirl Parnell does best. Drawing from her new book, she beautifully wove the event’s theme—Refresh, Revive, Rise—into a message that was both inspiring and deeply uplifting.

The CTAM Team were thrilled to support Ms. Shirl at our first event event of the year. Dartitia(Treasure), Ernest(VP) and April (Admin) had a great time meeting the staff and the 23 caregivers that attended the event. We were able to speak with all of them and share how we can support them. We gain incredible new members today.

We were also delighted to gift an AARP throw to the first caregiver who arrived at the event. Moments like these remind us how much joy comes from giving. We only wished we had more to share.

Coffee Tea and Me continues to serve our community throughout the holidays. After Mr. and Mrs. Clause surprised the staff and families at IHOP, the CTAM elves along with coat donations from Operation Warm ,made a stop at the House of Ruth to drop of 88 coats to the families seeking safe shelter. So grateful that sanctuaries such as the House of Ruth are available for families at such a difficult time. Big shout out to the staff!!

CTAM had a wonderful time bringing together members, volunteers, and families at IHOP in Norwood Plaza Commons. The excitement was contagious—especially when Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus made a surprise appearance, delighting both the kids and the IHOP staff.
Our CTAM elves treated children from families seeking shelter through the House of Ruth. While we aren’t able to share photos of those kids, the smiles were undeniable as they enjoyed pancakes, waffles, drinks, and sweet treats.
This was also CTAM’s first year partnering with the incredible organization Operation Warm (https://operationwarm.org), which donated coats to help keep children warm this season. The joy extended beyond our invited guests. Other families dining at IHOP were thrilled to meet Santa too. It was a morning filled with warmth, generosity, and holiday cheer for everyone there.
CTAM has had the privilege of serving many caregivers and their families. While 2025 was an amazing year, we can do even more in 2026—with your help!
Join our team of dedicated volunteers and make a meaningful impact. Whether you’re tabling at outreach events, sponsoring CTAM programs, or helping provide essential resources for caregivers, there are many ways to get involved. We’d love to team up with you!

Santa, secretly played by one of our most dedicated volunteers, enjoyed meeting his fans and not only giving out toys but providing warmth with coats from OPERATION WARM.

IHOP customers were over joyed to meet Santa, take pictures and they too were able to walk away with gifts and coats from Mr. and Mrs. Claus. So many smiles!

The Clauses were prepare with gifts, coats and food for the families invited from House of Ruth. They also enjoyed giving a gifts and coats to families that were eating at the restaurant.

One of the kids received her coat plus toys and these smiley sunny slippers which she was very excited to get.

CTAM can only provide the wonderful events we do during the year because of our dedicated volunteers. Ms. Carolyn was excellent as an elf and enjoyed every minute talking with the kids, parents and handing out coats, not to mention the wonderful IHOP breakfast she had to fuel her day.

Mrs. Clause has friends in high places. Lamar Jackson, quaretrback for the Baltimore Ravens, met at a community event later that day.
On November 15th, the CTAM team, our caregivers, and our special guests truly made this year’s celebration unforgettable! Unity Hall proved to be the perfect venue to welcome caregivers from across the state for an evening filled with joy, community, and heartfelt appreciation.
We were honored to host Councilwoman Odette Ramos of the 14th District, Ms. Ondoria Harmon from the Department of Aging, and other distinguished guests who came to show their support. Our talented vendors-Shugga Mama Treatz, All About The Wrist, Popaiazzi,Women 4 Purpose- offered beautifully handcrafted items—from journals and jewelry to delicious treats—adding an extra touch of magic to the night. Everyone was honored to purchase and recieve an autographed copy of Voice Of A Caregiver, written by first time author and CTAM founder, Shirl Parnell.
Every moment of the evening was dedicated to our remarkable caregivers, who pour their time, energy, and love into caring for others. This night was for them—to uplift, celebrate, and surround them with the gratitude they so deeply deserve.
Take a look at the photos below… and we hope you’ll join us next year for an even more inspiring celebration!

We met over 100 walkers and Ms. Shirl goes out of her way for each of them. Collected and distributed resources and information to help them along their journey, but she also adds touches of love to spur them on reminding them they are not alone.

CTAM was blessed to have spoken to nearly 100 participants who were happy to recieve buttons, pens, hand sanitizer, candies and ofcourse caregiver resources with information many of them were unaware existed. We had 20 people register to stay in touch with us and a number want to attend or volunteer with CTAM helping carry caregiver support even further. What a wonderful day!

Boscov's allows non-profits to raise funds through their Friends Helping Friends Campaign every year and this year was phenomenal! CTAM, with the help of the most caring shoppers, helped us raise funds that will enable us to continue creating events that support caregivers that give so much.
